Project Details

The State Highway 72 project consists of Cold-In-Place Recycling of existing pavement and overlaying with HMA pavement for 4.63 miles. The project also included beam guard, permanent signs and pavement markings, culvert endwall replacements and linings, and reconstructing a field entrance drive.

Stevens provided the Project Leader plus one staff member for construction observation and administration. Prior to beginning the project, it was changed to a Cold-In-Place Recycling (CIR) project. CIR had not been used on projects in the Northwest Region. Testing of moisture content was critical to the success of the final product.
