Hennepin County contracted with Stevens to perform a pavement and drainage analysis for the parking lot at the Hennepin County Library in Rogers, Minnesota. The asphalt surface and curb were deteriorating and several areas showed signs of poor sub grade. There were also significant drainage issues from the parking lot to the I-94 ditch. Stevens coordinated geotechnical services, prepared options for improvements, and identified costs associated with the improvements. Analysis also included the replacement of the bituminous curb with concrete curb, drainage improvements at the intersection with Milless Drive, and stormwater improvements.
Stevens provided a comprehensive report and cost estimate of the recommended project improvements. This report will be used by Hennepin County in their future budgeting for capital improvement projects.
