Hudson-based Stevens Engineers, Inc. is under new ownership.
Scott Ward, P.E. and Angela Popenhagen, P.E., LEED AP are buying the firm from long-time owner Jim DeBenedet, P.E. The new principals are looking forward to expanding the existing services offered by the engineering firm. DeBenedet is staying on as a consulting engineer to ensure continuity with clients.
Ward and Popenhagen earned civil engineering degrees from the University of Minnesota. Ward resides in Amery, and Popenhagen, a native of Roberts, resides in the Town of Hudson.
Stevens Engineers is a full-service engineering and planning firm. Established in 1973, Stevens has been providing professional engineering services to public and private sector clients in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Municipal clients include the villages of Osceola, Elmwood, and Star Prairie, and the Towns of River Falls, Martell, Somerset, Clayton, and Garfield. Stevens Engineers also does design work for WisDOT, the Pierce County Highway Department, and St. Croix Business Park Corporation (St. Croix Business Park - Hudson).
Stevens has developed a strong reputation for civil engineering and nationwide ice arena consultation and design services. Recently, the firm expanded its services to include comprehensive planning and grant writing for communities.
